The Rebel's Manifesto to Getting Your Work Noticed

The Rebel’s Manifesto to Getting Your Work Noticed

“This may seem like the least rebellious action on the planet – but in a world of half-assing things, the foundations ARE the rebellion.”

With 5.4 million business applications submitted in 2021, and the changing algorithms on, well, ALL platforms, it can be mind-bending to try to figure out how to get your work noticed in a noisy online world.

But it doesn’t have to be.

Here are 5 Ways to Get your Work Noticed WITHOUT Burnout or Turning Yourself into a Social Media Circus Monkey:

1. Look at what others in your space are doing, and move as far away from that as you possibly can.

Do you work in food? What can you use/take away from fashion that will cause you to be the standout.

Are you an author? How would you promote your book if it was a movie premier instead?

2. Get back to basics.

Everyone wants the quantum leaps, but very few are willing to put in the steps that will give their business a strong foundation. It’s not the sexiest thing, but it’s the savviest.

Do the basics, as consistently as you possibly can, and let that compound over time for you. You’ll be astounded at where you’re at 5 years from now if you do.

This may seem like the least rebellious action on the planet – but in a world of half-assing things, the foundations ARE the rebellion.

3. Become a storyteller.

Everyone loves a good story. And I would say becoming an excellent one is well worth the time investment it takes. And excellent doesn’t have to mean you’re the best one ever.

It can mean you’re a suspenseful storyteller, an intriguing one, a delightful one. Whatever way is most aligned and in integrity for you will be most aligned for your audience.

4. Take a bold and brave risk!

Whether that means becoming vulnerable when it’s scary to be, investing in a mentor and/or team members, or getting the cool new tools that help you do your job with more proficiency, proliferation and ease…

Take that bold new step that will bring the rewards that make the risk feel worth it! Consider this your permission slip to having your own back.

5. Craft Your Unstoppable Brand.

This doesn’t happen by copying what others in your space are doing, or the latest Marvel movie, or that coach you look up to – it happens by diving inward, being self-aware and honest with yourself and others about who you are, what your priorities are, how you lead, what you value to the depths of your soul, and what you believe – from the top of your head to the tips of your toes and beyond.

This will allow you to do much more with ease and without overworking yourself to the bone.

If you’re struggling with this, I can help you in my program Unstoppable Brands where we go over how to build a brand that gets you and your work recognition, respect and results. The next Live Cohort with group coaching started October 3rd and you can learn more by clicking HERE.
